We are Taylor and Rory, owners of Spores & Spirals. We believe that food should be both nourishing and accessible — not just to eat, but to understand and grow. We’re a wife duo with big goals: to bring fresh, nutrient-dense mushrooms and microgreens to our community while helping others feel confident growing their own.

Taylor focuses on making good food — and education about that food — easier to access. From creating approachable resources to designing systems that lower barriers for first-time growers, she’s passionate about connecting people to what they eat.

Rory is the scientist behind the spores. With a deep curiosity for mycology and a strong background in lab-based cultivation, she experiments with new genetic strains and fine-tunes our growing methods for resilience, flavor, and yield.

Together, we combine practical education with scientific exploration — working toward a food system that’s more sustainable, more local, and more hands-on.
